A Book to trust #2 Book of Truth

As lovers of God we do believe the Most High Divine Creator of all things has given His Word for our education and for making it possible to have a good relationship with Him.

Too many do forget how important that Biblical Truth is. They have their ears hanging at the lips of those who tell all sorts of fantasies and philosophies, which are created in the minds of human beings, often people who call themselves theologian (a person versed in or engaged in the study of theology, the study of the nature of God and religious truth plus rational inquiry into religious questions).

Some might say

Truth by definition is unique. There can only be one truth, and we acknowledge anything as a fact, we are immediately saying that everything else is false or illegitimate.{Let’s talk a little more about truth!The Book of Truth}

Though in this world there are many who do want to twist the truth and who certainly who do not want to accept Biblical Truth. Worse is that the majority of people do not want to accept the Words of the Most High. Like when That Divine Creator said about the Nazarene Jew Jeshua (in many English speaking countries better known as Jesus Christ), when he stood in the water of the river Jordan,

“You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.”” (Lu 3:22 NIV)

and later in Jesus his life

“This is my Son, whom I have chosen; listen to him.”” (Lu 9:35 NIV)

The majority of people calling themselves Christian are convinced that it was God Himself standing there in the water, which is not according what the Bible tells us (like in Matthew 3:17; 17:5).

Lots of people do not seem to recognise the Biblical truth that Jesus is called a son of man.

“But I tell you, Elijah has already come, and they did not recognise him, but have done to him everything they wished. In the same way the Son of Man is going to suffer at their hands.”” (Mt 17:12 NIV) (see also: Mt 8:20; Mt 17:9 and Mt 17:22)

And that this son of man himself says that he cannot do anything without his heavenly Father Who is greater than him.

“Jesus gave them this answer: “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by himself; he can do only what he sees his Father doing, because whatever the Father does the Son also does.” (Joh 5:19 NIV)

“”You heard me say, ‘I am going away and I am coming back to you.’ If you loved me, you would be glad that I am going to the Father, for the Father is greater than I.” (Joh 14:28 NIV)

“Jesus said to them, “If God were your Father, you would love me, for I came from God and now am here. I have not come on my own; but he sent me.” (Joh 8:42 NIV)

So many people do not want to accept that Jesus is the sent one from God, though Jesus is saying it himself. But that does not fit in their theory where they do not want to believe a human being could do what God wants him to do. Nor does it fit in their theory that Jesus should be God otherwise he could not do all those things and could not stand up from the dead. Herewith they forget that with God coming out of His fake death (because God cannot die) with such a charade would take our hope away because than we still have no proof at all that man can have a resurrection from the death.

All those trinitarians who ignore all those sayings about “the son of God”, “the sent one from God“, “the authorised one from God“,  “the mediator between God and man“, forget how important it is to believe in those things which are written down in the Bible. They also forget writings which tells us that God knows everything and that God can not be tempted, though we do find Jesus being tempted more than once and Jesus even not knowing when he would return to this earth and who would be seated next to him in the Kingdom of God. They forget that in case Jesus would be God he would have told lies on more than one occasion and would have mislead those around him. Though from Scriptures we also know that God does not mislead people and does not tell lies, Him also being a God of clarity and order.

People may try to prove those lovers of Jehovah to be liars and even call their bibles and their God  full of lies, but they won’t be able to proof such accusations.

The Bible is scientifically as well as historically accurate and reliable. It was never the intention to be a science or history research book, but was meant to be understandable for lettered people as well for uneducated people.

In those ancient books we even can find writings much ahead of their times. For example, the book of Leviticus contained laws for ancient Israel on quarantine and hygiene when surrounding nations knew nothing about such matters. At a time when there were wrong ideas about the shape of the earth, the Bible  referred to it as a circle, or sphere. (Isaiah 40:22) The Bible accurately said that the earth is suspended “upon nothing.” (Job 26:7) Of course, the Bible is not a science textbook. But when it touches on scientific matters, it is accurate. Is this not what we would expect of a book from God?

In the book of books we do find the history of mankind. Here too the history of humankind had to be able to easily remembered.  There is no reason at all to give long detailed accounts though we  find that its accounts are specific. They include not only the names but also the ancestry of individuals. (For example, note the detailed ancestral line of Jesus set out at Luke 3:23-38.) In contrast to secular historians, who often do not mention the defeats of their own people, Bible writers were honest, even recording their own failings and those of their nation. In the Bible book of Numbers, for instance, the writer Moses admits his own serious error for which he was severely reproved. (Numbers 20:2-12) Such honesty is rare in other historical accounts but is found in the Bible because it is a book from God.

That Book of God we consider to be the infallible Word of the God Who made everything and Who does not tell lies but out of love want us to comprehend everything and want us to warn for the future days.

Many people who are against Jehovah do not want to believe that those writers were inspired of God, and as such do not see any reason to have faith in its saying, but also do not see the coherence of it. Many people do not want to hear what is really written in Scriptures. For them it seems a book full of conflicts and contradictions. But they forget that it comes because they do not want to open their ears and eyes to what is written in the special ancient book.

All people should know that this Book of ancient writings is so special and so timeless, it still can be a bestseller giving advice for today. Everybody should come to know that this Book of books is

“beneficial for teaching, for reproving, for setting things straight.” (2 Timothy 3:16)

Nobody should forget to use it as the most practical book to find advice for life matters. It reflects a keen understanding of human nature. No wonder, for its Author, Jehovah God, is the Creator! He understands our thinking and emotions better than we do. Furthermore, Jehovah knows what we need in order to be happy. He also knows what pathways we should avoid. Therefore we are always better to take the advice given in that book and should always compare its sayings with the sayings of man, giving the most value to the sayings of the Bible.

  1. So, since you keep connecting my articles to yours, tell me which version of the Bible you are talking about. Surely not the King James because it says in I John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.” If the King James is wrong, then what is right?

Anyways, here is a better article on the subject from me for you to connect on your site…

    1. Dear blogger, thank you very much for your reaction and giving us advice for your better article to link at, which we gladly do.

The original King James bible does not write

I John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”

but has printed for 1 John 5:7:

1Jn 5:7 For there are three that beare record in heauen, the Father, the Word, and the holy Ghost: and these three are one.

We do not say that King James Version nor yours is wrong but we clearly indicate that the King James Bible is not the only right or true or usable Bible. Also we say there are many editions oand versions of the King James Versions. There are the several editions of what is called the Authorised Bible, and next to the Cambridge and Oxford versions of the King James version there are many other King James Versions. We noticed many claiming that the King James Version is the only true bible are even not using the original King James Bible, some even using a re-translation of the Old English Bible. As such we can find under those claiming the KJV is the only true bible people should follow different versions, of which each blogger says he is using the only right one.

Also you seem to misunderstand the verse 1 John 5:7 (which you quote, though we did not mention it in our article) in a wrong way thinking it says that those mentioned are all persons or elements which or who are one and the same, which they are not.

To use an other edition of the King James Bible

      1Jn 5:7 ForG3754 there areG1526 [G5748] threeG5140 that bear recordG3140 [G5723] inG1722 heavenG3772, the FatherG3962, the WordG3056, andG2532 the HolyG40 GhostG4151: andG2532 theseG3778 threeG5140 areG1526 [G5748] oneG1520.

There is not written, like you seem to think or to understand:

“There are three in heaven which do bear record to this truth here upon earth, namely, that Jesus is the Christ; that is to say, the three persons in the Holy Trinity,

      You should remember
The Father, the Word (the Voice of God), and/or the Holy Ghost > the Father bore witness both at Christ’s baptism and transfiguration also, when with an audible voice He declared,

This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.

Jesus Christ was the essential and natural Son of God and not God having come to earth. He was one in mind with god like we too are demanded to become one in Christ and one in god, though that shall not make us to be the same person as Christ nor shall it make us to be God.

Jesus has been taken into heaven and as such bears witness of God and of god His Power (the Pneuma or Holy Spirit). but when Jesus was on earth he already bore record of his heavenly Father about Whom Jesus said that He is greater than him and that he (Jesus) could not do anything without Him (Jehovah God)

Staying by the King James Version (you consider to be the only true Bible) think about this edition, which goes back to the original texts and look at the whole paragraph:

      1 John 5:6-9 (RNKJV)
6 This is he that came by water and blood, even Yahushua the Messiah; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth. 7 For there are three that bear witness: 8 the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one. 9 If we receive the witness of men, the witness of יהוה is greater: for this is the witness of יהוה which he hath testified of his Son.

Notice also how there is indicated that the Witness of Jehovah God is greater. Look back at another edition than the one you you quoted (which edition?) and notice

1 John 5:6-9 KJV  This is he that came by water and blood, even Jesus Christ; not by water only, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit that beareth witness, because the Spirit is truth.  (7)  For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.  (8)  And there are three that bear witness in earth, the Spirit, and the water, and the blood: and these three agree in one.  (9)  If we receive the witness of men, the witness of God is greater: for this is the witness of God which he hath testified of his Son.

First there is the Spirit (the Pneuma = the Power of God, the breathing or the being of God or the being of the Being “I Am that I am”) It was the Voice out of heaven which declared, by the so called only one true Bible the King James Version:

Luke 3:22 KJV-1611 And the holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a Doue vpon him, and a voice came from heauen, which said, Thou art my beloued sonne, in thee I am well pleased.

So why you do not believe Jesus is the son of God and preach at your site that Jesus is God, totally against any wording in the King James Bible?
In the KJV it is like in all other bibles clearly indicated that it was God the Father’s Voice concerning the son. The same KJB tells us that it was Jesus who let us known the Name of his heavenly Father Who is the Only One True God.

John 17:6 KJV-1611 I haue manifested thy Name vnto the men which thou gauest me out of the world: thine they were; and thou gauest them me; and they haue kept thy word.

John 17:26 KJV-1611 And I haue declared vnto them thy Name, and will declare it: that the loue wherewith thou hast loued mee, may be in them, and I in them.

Jesus also asked people not to pray to him but to God, saying

Luke 11:2 KJV-1611 And hee said vnto them, When ye pray, say, Our Father which art in heauen, Halowed be thy Name, Thy kingdome come, Thy will be done as in heauen, so in earth.

The same book tells us that Jehovah God is an eternal Ghost or Spirit, no man can see:

2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV-1611 (17) Now the Lord is that spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is libertie.

      Some other KJB editions give

2Co 3:17 Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV  Now Yahweh is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV  Now Yehowah is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

2 Corinthians 3:17 KJV  Now Jehovah is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.

Exodus 33:20 KJV-1611 And he said, Thou canst not see my face: for there shall no man see mee, and liue.

John 1:18 KJV-1611 No man hath seene God at any time: the onely begotten Sonne, which is in the bosome of the Father, he hath declared him.

Jesus on the other hand who clearly explained he was no ghost or spirit, and was seen by lots of people (who did not fall death) said a.o.

Luke 24:38-39 KJV-1611 And he said vnto them, Why are yee troubled, and why doe thoughts arise in your hearts? (39) Beholde my hands and my feete, that it is I my selfe: handle me, and see, for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye see me haue.

John 14:28 KJV-1611 Ye haue heard how I saide vnto you, I goe away, and come againe vnto you. If ye loued mee, yee would reioyce, because I said, I go vnto the Father: for my Father is greater then I.

      John 14:6 (RNKJV)
6 Yahushua saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

or in the original KJV which according to many English speaking people is the only true Bible version

John 14:6 KJV-1611 Iesus saith vnto him, I am the Way, the Trueth, and the Life: no man commeth vnto the Father but by mee.

Which should everybody come to understand that the sent one from God, Jesus Christ, is the way to God and not to himself which you seem to believe.

Galatians 4:4 KJV-1611 But when the fulnes of the time was come, God sent foorth his Sonne made of a woman, made vnder the Law,

The apostle John and his fellow followers of Christ, on several places speak about that oneness Christ Jesus has with his Father and we should have too with that one who was given by the Only One God (the Father)

      John 3:16-17 (RNKJV)
16 For יהוה so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For יהוה sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

John 3:16-17 KJV-1611 For God so loued ye world, that he gaue his only begotten Sonne: that whosoeuer beleeueth in him, should not perish, but haue euerlasting life. (17) For God sent not his Sonne into the world to condemne the world: but that the world through him might be saued.

and as such we should always remember

      1 Corinthians 8:4 (RNKJV)
4 As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice unto idols, we know that an idol is nothing in the world, and that there is none other Elohim but one.

1 Corinthians 8:4 KJV-1611 (4) As concerning therefore the eating of those things that are offered in sacrifice vnto idoles, wee know that an idole is nothing in the world, and that there is none other God but one.

that is what we should believe in oneness in faith and in oneness with Christ

Ephesians 4:13 KJV-1611 (13) Till we all come in the vnitie of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Sonne of God, vnto a perfect man, vnto the measure of the stature of the fulnesse of Christ:

  2. Why write an entire article for a response? When people do that it makes me wonder about them…
You said, “the King James Bible is not the only right or true or usable Bible” No where did you prove that the King James Bible on my desk is wrong.
Also you never told me what is right if the King James is wrong. Please, in one sentence, tell me what I should use.

      1. The modern versions and the King James Bible have so many differences that they both cannot be right. If you believe differently then you are not dealing with the truth. You have “debunked” nothing.

  3. You seem to think that these don’t match. Of course they do: word for word even if their letters don’t match.

I John 5:7, “For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.”
1John 5:7 For there are three that beare record in heauen, the Father, the Word, and the holy Ghost: and these three are one.

    bear=beare
    heaven=heauen
    holy=Holy

What are you thinking? If I were to read those verses out loud, they are the exact same. The King James written in 1611, is the exact same with the exception of typesetting and printer’s errors and updated spelling. If you think those three things are a reason to use all the other perverted “bibles”, then let’s just say you have some different ways of thinking…

    1. You only present one phrase from “a” KJB version you are using. Than we can show so many hundreds of Bibles which have exactly the same phrase with the same letter-setting as you present, though you claim they are not the true Bible and for sure we can tell also that they are not the King James Bible and never pretend to do so (like your version does) but have for their translation an other name.

      1. I know you understand English well, and that’s ok, but what do you mean? Did you read the article? Do you really think that typesetting changes are the same as the missing verses in the modern versions? This argument doesn’t work logically.

  4. Finally, I always enjoy watching the gymnastics that people use to get out of “these three are one” and “God was manifest in the flesh”.
Obviously most stoop to getting rid of the King James by using the modern “bibles” that get rid of the verses, as you do.

You say that I don’t teach that Jesus is the Son of God… what? He is the Son of God and God in the flesh. In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Col 2:9) 100% human and 100% God. If you don’t believe that, fine. But don’t tell me that it’s not what the Bible teaches. 🙂

    1. You write “Obviously most stoop to getting rid of the King James by using the modern “bibles” that get rid of the verses, as you do.” but you seem to miss We did present you with all the original 1611 King James Bible verses (see above), which you never on your site seem to use or until now did not use. We shall see if you in the future shall start using the Only True King James Version on your website or shall prefer to use your personal version and as such would be misleading your readers, claiming you use the “… ‘Only’ King James Version … “.

You also seem to add words to the Bible, though you know people should not do that. But you are saying the the Bible says ” In him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. (Col 2:9) 100% human and 100% God. ” which it nowhere says or writes.

Please come to open your eyes and come to read the letters or words like they are written in the Holy Scriptures.

  5. Finally #2, the Restored Name King James Bible is not any of the elements of its title.
It doesn’t restore any names, it’s not a a King James, and it’s not a Bible.

See John 20:28, Col 2:9, I Tim 3:16, II Tim 2:15, I John 5:7, and probably any other place where the deity of Christ is shown. All of a sudden, the writer decides that the Alexandrian manuscripts should be used and the King James’s manuscripts rejected. That, my friends, is handling the word of God deceitfully…

    1. We use also other Bibles and allow everybody to use other Bibles, but we also point to the fact that there are people who say that the King James Bible is the only true one. For our community the sales of the King James bible, be it one of our editions (which the Restored Name Version is Not) or from an other publisher works out in our advantage, concerning us receiving copyrights. though we ourselves do not promote our own editions, like the Wide margin King James Version to get more money, but want people to compare and study from different Bible versions.

We also are honest in recognising that certain contemporary versions are closer to the original texts than some of the (old) Bible versions we do print and distribute – that is also why we do not mind promoting and distributing those which are closer to the true original words and meaning.

We are very grateful you prefer to use one of our versions and that you are trying (though perhaps very unwillingly) providing funds for us, but honour to those who might receive recognisance and honour for all their research into old documents and archaeological material to come closer to the original scrolls. We should give our respect to those who did such a great job to get a more truthful translation than the 17th century people could do at that time because of more limited material.

Please think about that and go to compare the last findings and the Dead Sea Scrolls or Qumram documents and compare the texts of the 17th century writers with the texts of the ancient writers, with the contemporary use of the English language.

Note also you yourself are not using the 1611 or original King James version and could be using a version with other words or phrases than the original (except when you would be using one of ours or other Christadelphian versions – but that we do not know)

The Christadelphian community owns the copyrights of the Authorised Version and of several King James Bible versions – and as such when you use a version close to the original 1611 version you have or should have to pay copyrights to our community as soon as you place more than 200 quotes per year on your website and would you automatically pay your contribution when you buy a hard or soft-cover print version or when you buy a Bible software program with our versions in it (e.g. Logos).

Even for your free Bible Software when using it for publishing quotes you should keep to the international arrangements concerning the amount of quotes you are allowed to use for free for one or the other Bible version. Please note that the last two sentences are about font or typesetting and updated spelling. There are not changes to the words as can be easily proven. 1611, 1769 are the same words.

        2. Dear blogger or writer of Vake Biblia.

First of all you do not seem to know what the organisation of Bible Students does and how they provide for the translation and distribution of the Word of God in many languages.

          Secondly

Dear writer of “Vake Biblia” we do not know if you are an accredited pastor of one or an other church, which would mean you would have studied at a theological college or university. Though we think you are not, because then you would for sure have been in contact with the older transcripts and would have learned about different Bible translations and ways of translating the old manuscripts. We also have the impression you have not done Christian theological studies or that you would be a scholar of religions or a historian or an archaeologist.

That is not an insurmountable problem if you have the willingness to learn or study further in depth about the bible and are willing to gather further information plus have a willingness to see. May we advice you to go to look at your local library and to find there more works on the translation but also on the original manuscripts with the Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek texts which are gathered to make up the 66 books of the Bible. Best you are also to go and have a look at the facsimiles of the older works which you probably can find in a nearby Bible museum (like the Museum of the Bible in Washington DC) or at any big university. In your neighbourhood you probably will have some university or a theological college were they shall let you see and study some of the replica’s of the old manuscripts and where they can explain what is written in it and how it compares to different translations in your language (English).

The Bible Students, with many Bible scholars, their main goal to study the Scriptures, translating and distributing (printing and getting people to read the Bible or Word of God) in your country should also be able to help you with showing either originals (like several ancient manuscripts and also old King James Bibles). As such we advise you to go and visit our fellow brethren and sisters and to have a look at their work and at the work done by many scribes in the past.

Naturally you are always welcome at our offices and at our websites or to subscribe to one of the printed magazines.

          Yours sincerely,

          1. This guy claimed that the Christadelphians owned the copyright to the King James. I asked for proof because I provided a source (I know wikipedia is not a great source) that claimed that the KJB is not copyrighted.

Your response is something about me. My credentials have nothing to do with the copyright issue. Could you just answer the question?

PS I am beginning to doubt that the Christadelphian folks know enough about the Bible. You are always welcome to ask me any questions and I will educate you as best as I can. You are welcome.

PPS I have five years of college education, a degree in history, and 3 years at a Bible School, including 3 years of greek studies. And I know the language well enough to handle the critical apparatus and the TR. Sorry to speak as a fool. II Cor 11:23

  6. The King James on my table has 99.99999% the same words as what was produced in 1611. That is a fact even if the letters are different. The modern versions have 100s or 1000s of changes. They are different and that is a fact.

If you think I added to the Bible there, then you aren’t reading properly. I did not add to the text (Col 2?9) anymore than you do when you write a verse and then comment on it.

      1. Ah, finally, here we go…
You think the KJV is wrong when it puts “LORD” instead of Jehovah. You think that the KJB on my table is wrong. So what is right?
