In the previous postings you could see how certain people who prefer to proclaim that a human translation would be even more accurate than the many old manuscripts which were found after the 17th century but date way back before the 1st century.
The KJV-onlyism brought a variations of King James Bible editions as the so called only true Bible version. Mostly such KJV-only people do not use the Authorised King James Bible with God His Holy Name in it but prefer an edition where the Name of God is substituted by the word “Lord”, thus they can push through their false human doctrine of the Holy Trinity.
In case you have doubts about certain teachings and certain bible versions you can consider some questions/
How do you keep an eye out for heretical teachings?
Have you ever tried, perhaps unwittingly, to “complicate” the message of salvation?
How so — and what helped you recognize your efforts for what they were?
Why do you think it was so easy for churches to fall prey to false teachings in Paul’s day?
Do you think it’s still a problem in today’s church?
Do you know that the apostle Paul was confronted with the problem of syncretism by new converts combining Jewish and Gentile beliefs and practices, creating a sort of hybrid religion that no longer resembled true Christianity.
Imagine that the Letter to the Colossians by Paul was written to you. How would you respond?
Pagan cults and philosophies were firmly entrenched throughout the ancient Mediterranean world.
It might be understandable that early Christians — many of whom had followed such religions and philosophies before giving their lives to Christ — faced a continual struggle to keep their newfound faith separate from the spiritual currents of the world around them. The Christian community in the city of Colosse was caught up in that struggle… and they needed help.
