Gods in Jacques Réattu’s The Triumph of Civilization (1793)
When looking at the world we see the universe which evolves continually. It does not bring accurate answers how the beginning was. Neither agnostics or atheists nor believers can give a concrete proof for the things their faith is build on. Though atheists as theists may very well be very convinced of the truth of their thoughts and theories. Often it is said an atheist is a non-believer; but he or she also believes. One of their believes is that there is no Supreme Being having Caused the beginning of everything. For their other believes they may be very different from one atheist to an other. One may believe in the Big Bang an other in other theories for the beginning of the universe. One atheist may believe in homeopathy whilst an other may find that rubbish and only believes in allopathy.
In a way all pepole hold on a certain faith having confidencefor a reason. Man is surrounded by lots of different ideas and different faiths, be it on worldly matters as well as in divine matters. Faith has always something to do with man’s reasoning and can bring forth lots of theorising and philosophy.
Faith itself may bring forth lots of questions to man, be them on scientific or mathematical grounds, or on theological grounds. Throughout history many big questions have kept people of all sorts busy for many years. Lots of philosophers have taken time and lots of words to discuss these questions, when looking at what is known as “the cosmological argument” and about the matter if there would be a Divine Source Which or Who created everything or is the Cause of everything.
In the previous posting we saw that there are many different ways of approaching the cosmological argument and many ways of stating it, but here is one common formulation:
1. Everything that has a beginning has a cause
2. The universe had a beginning
3. Therefore the universe had a cause
Several philosophers tried to tackle the mystery of the Causer and presented different types of argument for God’s existence. The philosopher Immanuel Kant for example said that there were three of such types, which we still can be reflected in the teleological. courses were we find a cosmological argument, an ontological argument and a teleological argument as those colleges or universities present them as the arguments for God – just these three.

Question is if one wants to go out form looking at the universe just from its design. The ancient Greek philosopher Plato, student of Socrates (c. 470–399 bce), teacher of Aristotle (384–322 bce), and founder of the Academy, best known as the author of philosophical works of unparalleled influence, with his student Aristotle, developed complex approaches to the proposal that the cosmos has an intelligent cause, but it was the Stoics who, under their influence,
“developed the battery of creationist arguments broadly known under the label ‘The Argument from Design'” {Sedley 2007, page xvii}
For those people who are convinced that the whole cosmos must itself depend on a being which exists independently or necessarily you could ask how they would call that being. For us believers who follow the Words of the Scriptures it is clear that This Is the “I Am Who I Am”. Not need an argument that says God, being defined as most great or perfect, must exist, since a God who exists is greater than a God who does not. (the ontological argument). We can see the evidence of order, and hence design, in nature and as such philosophers calling that a teleological argument, must also come to see that we consider that Maker of Order or Causer of Order, being the cause of coming out of the void or chaos, a structured something we can call the universe, Himself declaring Who He is, namely the
“Ehyeh asher ehyeh” (I will be that I will be – I Am that I am).
Exodus 3:14 OJB And Elohim said unto Moshe, Eh-heh-yeh ashair Ehheh- yeh (I AM WHO I AM); and He said, Thus shalt thou say unto the Bnei Yisroel, EHHEH-YEH (I AM) hath sent me unto you.
The people who are against Jehovah most of the time ask us to proof that Jehovah exist, but forget that many things they belief to be so they can not proof either. The same as for many things not being able to proof they are also in the difficulty to proof we would be wrong and that Jehovah or The Only One True God would not exist. they clearly can easily manage to proof Jesus is not that divine Creator God, because Jesus is not God. Lots of atheists like several Christians not seeing that Jesus is the historical figure, who really existed in the first century of our contemporary era, and was not eternal all-knowing like the God of gods is all-knowing.
Many theologians and philosophers, like for example Kappel admitted that it is also very difficult for atheists to prove that God doesn’t exist. There may be certain reasons to believe gods are there or that there is only One God or that there is a Trinity in the same way that others may be totally convinced that there can not be a Causer of things. Every time it shall also turn around the matter of common sense.
Herewith is the acceptance of God a very difficult one, because That UnseenBeing seems to be very “inaccessible to man.” Lots of people want to see in God a man and therefore take a man as their god, though at the same time do not want to believe a man can be God nor that a man would be able to do certain things. Therefore they claim Jesus to be God, instead believing Jesus his own words, that God is much greater than him and that he can not do those thins from himself, but that he does them by the Power which is given to him by the God of Abraham, in which he believes.
Mankind has lots of gods. One has to be blind not seeing how several cultures created their own gods. It is not difficult to proof such gods are part of their culture. It becomes impossible to proof those gods would be part of the beginning and would be the cause of everything. Also to proof the God above all gods to be The God is not easy to proof. Most of the gods, we do find in the world can not do everything and do not know everything; Even one of the gods in Christendom which is honoured by many who call themselves Christian does even not know when he (Jesus) is coming back or when the end-times would take place, which is considered a very important even in Christianity. Many Christians do not notice that their god says himself it is not given to him to know such things, but only to the Only OneTrue God. The One Being Which manages to have the good qualities and would not have bad qualities, being causer, overseer, instructor, guide, sovereign lord, Lord of lords, God of gods, the Most High and the Most Almighty. All the gods one can find in the many religions do not have such high qualities as the God of Israel or God of Abraham Who can be found by the Jews, real Christians and Muslims.
On his 70th birthday, Albert Einstein greeting children from the Reception Shelter of United Service for New Americans in New York City at his home in Princeton, N.J. – Encyclopædia Britannica, Inc.
Several scientists by their work gathered knowledge and understanding of that Universal Being, like Einstein did. Some at first tried to proof god did not exist, but by their findings had to change idea, they had to admit there must have been An Exceptional Being That surpasses all qualities of a human being. For Einstein it was clear that that Supreme Being must be the Source and repository of reason God, Who is not a person or something touchable, but the Untouchable.
Einstein wrote
The more a man is imbued with the ordered regularity of all events the firmer becomes his conviction that there is no room left by the side of this ordered regularity for causes of a different nature. For him neither the rule of human nor the rule of divine will exists as an independent cause of natural events. {Einstein, A. Ideas and Opinions. Bonanza, New York, 1954, p. 48.}
The incredible brain who presented the world wormholes, higher dimensions, the possibility of time travel, the existence of black holes, and talked a lot about the creation of the universe, unraveling the secrets of atoms and molecules, he thought of the Divine Creator as
“the Good, the True, and the Beautiful” {Einstein, A. Ideas and Opinions. Bonanza, New York, 1954, p. 49.}
though he had no trust in those human beings, preferring to give more faith in That Unseen Supreme Being.
English ethologist, evolutionary biologist, and author Dawkins lecturing on his book The God Delusion, 24 June 2006 – Confirmed into the Church of England at the age of 13, he began to grow sceptical of the beliefs. After learning about Darwinism and the scientific reason why living things look as though they have been designed, Dawkins lost the remainder of his religious faith.
Strangely enough in this world we may find several great minds, scientists, mathematicians, etc. loving others to believe there would not exist a god nor The God, who after they died got a church funeral. Though some of them also all their life had said, like Richard Dawkins said, they would rather err on the side of impossibility (absolute certainty that God does not exist) instead of on the side of low probability (that God exists)
The evolutionary biologist, ethologist, and popular-science writer Richard Dawkins, who emphasized the gene as the driving force of evolution and generated significant controversy with his enthusiastic advocacy of atheism, said
It is in the nature of faith that one is capable, like Jung, of holding a belief without adequate reason to do so …
Atheists do not have faith; and reason alone could not propel one to total conviction that anything definitely does not exist. Hence category 7 (Spectrum of Probabilities) is in practice rather emptier than its opposite number, category 1, which has many devoted inhabitants” (Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion, Kindle Edition, page 73. Bold emphasis mine).
Stephen Hawking with his daughter Lucy. Picture: Angela Micu
Being remembered for his colossal achievements in astrophysics – and for defying the odds to live a long and incredible life also the British physicistStephen Hawking tried for so many years people not to believe in God, though when he died aged 76, in 2018, following a long struggle with a motor neurone disease he too got as the greatest mind of our generation a funeral, though he always had said god did not exist.
Steven Hawking once said that he sought to know the mind of God. and that is what we see lots of human beings wanting to find out or even to get more knowledgable than that God. Being very limited by his illness (being disabled by ALS), one can understand his angriness with his Creator. But having done so much effort to get pepole away from the Divine Creator says more of the hate of that genius than of the Maker God.
So you could say it were Hawkin and Dawkins who gave the impression all their life, that they would rather deny the empirical evidence for God (the evidence of probability) and opt to live out something that can’t be true at face value, rather living as though there is the certainty that God doesn’t exist, even though they could not say He doesn’t with absolute certainty.
Of such people you may wonder why then when die, after preferring to choose God did not exits, would go for a church funeral, even in a church where is worshipped a three-headed god and not the God of gods and where the people hold on many human traditions and human dogmas, instead of Biblical dogmas.
Such choice, to have a church funeral, we see happened and happens still, with many more people who through their life fought against those who believed in God.We can not escape the thought that they are giving the impression for them too there was a fear that in case those believers in a god or God would be right it was or would perhaps better to have a church funeral, so that he or she still could receive an eternal life in heaven or receive an other life by an incarnation into some one else.
That way many atheists in the end also chose for some false human teachings which attract lots of people. Many want to have eternity and therefore love to find themselves taken up in such a community that promises such an eternal life.
That brings us to Churches and also to Christendom and Christianity. To proof the existence of God one does not need a church or the Church. Though for proving Christianity, we can not go without proving the existence of a theistic God, having all limited or finite things dependent in some way on Him or Her as one supreme or ultimate reality of which one may also speak in personal terms..
Every human being loves to hang to a certain faith, be it not to believe in gods or just the opposite to believe in several gods or in One God. Lots of people are convinced that we as human beings do have a will which is superior to the instinct or inborn impulse or motivation to action of animals. The majority of human beings is convinced that man is placed higher and in a better position than plants and animals.They are also convinced they have their own will and we can see clearly that most people want to see their own will fulfilled. The human beings also form themselves an idea of what is good and what is wrong. Most people have such inborn feeling, some call it instinct, whilst others call it moralconscience. Everywhere in the world we can see that it is that conscious feeling which make that people are going to create agreements and regulations or rules. as such we can find laws based on idiosyncratic circumstances.
Looking at the matters of the world in case there would be no ultimate metaphysical authority whatever name it could or would be given or whether God or nature, one can only say that in such case the only authority would be each individual’s will. In such case each individual would be a certain ‘god’ being able to create his won world or to create many things and to be master over it.
Great problem with that is still there shall not be an answer concerning the beginning of everything and those individuals being their own gods shall create more chaos than order. This we can see in the cultures where the chaos-producing role of multiple gods has been taken over by the individual will.
N.S. Palmer
Its feelings, desires, and whims are imagined as having power to shape reality as each person wants it. If a person wants to change sex, then it’s not only possible but guaranteed to work out splendidly. If it’s morally desirable for hostile groups of people to live peacefully in the same society, then they most assuredly can. If there’s no quantifiable harm in marrying a horse, then why not do it?
The test of such fanciful beliefs is their success in practice. If we can improve society and increase human happiness by trading long-established concepts and institutions for anything-goes individualism, then it’s at least worth a try. But we should think carefully about the risks. A society, once broken, is difficult to repair. A mind, once distorted, can be difficult to heal. {N.S. Palmer God, Science, and Objective Reality}

This is a human doctrine but has never been something Jesus and other Jews believed. Jesus kept to the Biblical doctrine, which declares God to be an All-knowing Eternal Spirit Being that no man can see and live. Many did not fall death after they saw Jesus, who himself found death at a stake (remember according to Scriptures God cannot die and has no birth – something Jesus also had.) God Himself declared Jesus to be His only begotten beloved son, and that is what real followers of Christ should believe. Real Christians also should worship the same God Jesus Christ worshipped. Jesus did not worship himself nor did he ask himself why he would have abandoned himself. Jesus also never considered himself equal to God, but made it clear that God is greater than him and that we should pray and praise that Only One God Who Is One (and not two or three).
God is one in a trinity

Child of God, When you believe God is a Trinity, do you not believe God is an Eternal All-knowing Spirit Being?
