In all circumstances preaching Christ

From the onset of the public life of Jesus there were people who wondered how that man dared to speak with such authority. When his disciples also started preaching, many found that such persons who had not gone to a rabbinic school could not be allowed to teach others. The people who came to:listen to Jesus and see his miracles were astonished what he could do and how fluently he could speak, also quoting the Torah and the Prophets. Also, when Jesus his disciples came to preach it looked as if they could make a fool of the many scholars who were against Jesus and his followers.

13 Now when they saw the boldness of Kepha and John, and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Yahushua. (Acts 4:13, NRKJV)

26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But יהוה hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and יהוה hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; (1Cor 1:26-27, NRKJV)

As the sent one from God, being authorized by God, he was a servant for God on who God’s Spirit was. (Matthew 12:18; Acts 4:30) He asked his followers also to be a servant in the Name of Jehovah God, so that people calling on that Name could be saved (Romans 10:13). Like Jesus received opposition, his talmidim, the apostles and their disciples also met stiff opposition in their efforts to help people and by showing the way to God. Jesus Christ’s opponents used every form of ridicule and criticism, with false charges based on any trivial thing that they could find. Today too we may find many people, who call themselves theologians, who tell a lot of lies about those who witness for Jehovah.

At the time of Jesus the aversion against Jesus was so big that the religious leaders preferred to let the people suffer if they could just do away with Jesus, because his preaching and course of action showed them up to be teachers of no value. (Matt. 15:14) Jesus already spoke of such men who had words against speakers for God and who loved to chain others with their false teachings or human doctrines.

5 But ye say, Whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, It is a gift, by whatsoever thou mightest be profited by me; 6 And honour not his father or his mother, he shall be free. Thus have ye made the commandment of יהוה of none effect by your tradition. 7 Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying, 8 This people draweth nigh unto me with their mouth, and honoureth me with their lips; but their heart is far from me. 9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. 10 And he called the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand: 11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man. 12 Then came his disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, after they heard this saying? 13 But he answered and said, Every plant, which my heavenly Father hath not planted, shall be rooted up. 14 Let them alone: they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch. (Matt 15:5-14, NRKJV)

The same as in the time of Jesus we may find lots of preachers, priests and ministers, who want plaudits of men rather than honour for or from God.

5 But all their works they do for to be seen of men: they make broad their phylacteries, and enlarge the borders of their garments, 6 And love the uppermost rooms at feasts, and the chief seats in the synagogues, 7 And greetings in the markets, and to be called of men, Rabbi, Rabbi. (Matt. 23:5-7, NRKJV)

Today we may find lots of denominations in Christendom, with several churches claiming to be the only one true church by which people can be saved. They forget that salvation is in the hands of Jeshua, Jesus Christ and his God Jehovah. The apostle Paul could already notice that in his time there were different people claiming to be a follower of Christ (or Christian – in contemporary term). For him it was clear that several had wrong motives to talk about Christ.

13 So that my bonds in the Messiah are manifest in all the palace, and in all other places; 14 And many of the brethren in the Master, waxing confident by my bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear. 15 Some indeed preach the Messiah even of envy and strife; and some also of good will: 16 The one preach the Messiah of contention, not sincerely, supposing to add affliction to my bonds: 17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of the glad tidings. (Phil 1:13-17, NRKJV)

Those doing such preaching in the main churches, saying bad things over others who witness for Jehovah do it out of contentiousness, not with a pure motive, for they are supposing to stir up tribulation for those who want to preach brotherly love, peace and a worship for only One True God, instead for a three headed god (the Trinity). (Phil. 1:15-17.) In this age there are many church leaders who see an annoying opponent and a danger for their Trinitarian church in those who proclaim the Good News and the coming Kingdom of God with Jesus as their king.

The many priests, ministers, bishops and theologians of the main churches try to cause doubts, strifes, divisions — in short, to tear down the apostle’s work and the spirituality of those he had worked so hard to build up. The same as it happened in the first century the church leaders of the main churches want to break down the spirit or those who go from door to door (or from house to house) by adding to them the burden of being called fools, making people aggressive against them or hating them as if they would take the people away from the church faith.

After telling of the world hatred coming upon his disciples, Jesus said:

“He that has endured to the end is the one that will be saved. And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations.” (Matt. 24:13, 14)

The preaching of this kingdom, although it is good news, will incur the hatred of the world. Why so? Because God’s Messianic kingdom and the political kingdoms of the world are enemies. For God’s kingdom by Christ to take over the complete control of the earth, it requires the bringing of the man-made kingdoms of this world to their everlasting end. Only god’s Kingdom is the one to stand for ever. (Dan. 2:44)

44 And in the days of these kings shall the Elohim of heaven set up a kingdom, which shall never be destroyed: and the kingdom shall not be left to other people, but it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms, and it shall stand for ever. (Dan 2:44, NRKJV)

Through glory and dishonour, through bad report and good report; as deceivers and yet truthful (2 Cor. 6:8) true followers of Christ throughout the ages kept to the biblical truth and though being in the minority, kept studying the Bible, as the infallible Word of God. The deceivers of the main churches do everything to cause the true Christians to break away from the congregations of brethren and sisters in Christ. As many times as they can they bring attacks against the Christian congregations, to “draw away the disciples” of Christ, and to keep others from listening to the message that these true disciples proclaim. Already from the onset of the Christian community the apostles were aware of some people of the community going astray. The apostle Paul warned to take heed to themselves and to all the flock of the community, among which the Holy Spirit has made overseers, to shepherd the church of God which Jesus purchased with his own blood, so that some of the inside would not bring in false teachings and not sparing the flock, go away with others from the ecclesia. —Acts 20:30.

29 For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. 30 Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, to draw away disciples after them. 31 Therefore watch, and remember, that by the space of three years I ceased not to warn every one night and day with tears. (Acts 20:29-31, NRKJV)

It is obvious that these opponents of the early Christians were not trying to build up others, even though they themselves claimed to be Christians. They themselves were not occupied in making disciples of Christ, but they tried to tear down those who might be listening to the good news.
Nothing has changed; it is still the same today.

Real believers in God should trust Him and His Word and not follow the many man made doctrines and church rules. Everybody has to know that it is God Who calls and guides people. All who want to call themselves Christian should remember the words of the Lord Jesus, and should follow his commandments.

Today, we may be pleased, there are modern-day Christians working hard to get the good news preached to every individual. They do not claim infallibility or perfection. Neither are they inspired prophets. But they are trying to live clean lives and to help people by teaching them the good news like Jesus brought Good News for all.

Those real followers of Christ, do as Jesus asked, to go out into the world to preach the Gospel. They take their own time and resources to show love for their fellowman by spending hours calling on people at their homes and teaching interested ones the truths of God’s Word. Those preachers in the Name of Jehovah God want all people to know it is possible to come to a world where there shall be no hatred or war. (Isa. 2:4) Those defending the biblical Truth of the Only One True God, the Elohim Hashem Jehovah, united all over the world as brothers and sisters in Christ and as a pillar and support of the truth forming as a body of people concerned with supporting and defending the purity of Bible truth at all cost, the great “Body of Christ“. (1 Tim. 3:15.)

Christians today must, like the first Christians in the early times of our contemporary era, be bold and outspoken in spreading the message of truth.

Are you prepared to speak about the real Christ, the only begotten beloved son of God, and his heavenly Father Who is the Only One True God, the Elohim Hashem Jehovah?

Do you pray for outspokenness as did the early Christians? (Acts 4:29) The record shows that Jehovah answered their prayer. — Acts 4:31.
