Our Faith

Faith is the persuasion of the things that are in hope, as if they were in act; and it is the manifestness of the things not seen, our belief that what is presented by the Most High Former and Maker Jehovah no man can see and live, that we go by His Holy or Set-apart Word.

“ And he said, Thou canst not see my face; for man shall not see me and live.” (Ex 33:20 ASV)

We believe the Divine Creator God has not only created man in His image, He also gave His own beloved only begotten son, whom many came to see, to show Who He is and to tell us what He wants from us.

“ And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.” (Ge 1:26 ASV)

“ And she shall bring forth a son; and thou shalt call his name JESUS; for it is he that shall save his people from their sins.” (Mt 1:21 ASV)

“21 Now it came to pass, when all the people were baptized, that, Jesus also having been baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, 22 and the Holy Spirit descended in a bodily form, as a dove, upon him, and a voice came out of heaven, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased. 23 And Jesus himself, when he began to teach, was about thirty years of age, being the son (as was supposed) of Joseph, the son of Heli,” (Lu 3:21-23 ASV)

We believe in this son of God who, in the beginning was lower than angels, but became made higher later, and is also a son of man (only Ezekiel, Daniel and Jesus are called ‘son of man‘ or Ben-Adam, son of Adam – the name ‘Adam‘ coming from ‘A’dham‘ meaning ‘from the earth‘ or ‘human‘. ) who received from God the authority to declare Him and to speak and handle in His name, to become like a second Adam.

“ And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.” (Mt 28:18 ASV)

We believe God has sent this man of flesh and blood, Jesus Christ, to declare the gospel or Good News.

“ but when the fulness of the time came, God sent forth his Son, born of a woman, born under the law,” (Ga 4:4 ASV)

“ Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I came forth and am come from God; for neither have I come of myself, but he sent me.” (Joh 8:42 ASV)

“ The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor: He hath sent me to proclaim release to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised,” (Lu 4:18 ASV)

We do believe this man of flesh and blood, born in Bethlehem and raised in Nazareth, is not a Spirit but the son of God, Who is greater than Jesus, and who came to tell about his heavenly Father, without Him Jesus could not do much. Though in every instance Jesus tried to follow the directions of his heavenly Father and every time to do His will instead of doing his own will (in case Jesus would be God he would always have done his own will). We also believe Jesus did not bear witness of himself, which he would have done when he would be God, but he gave witness of the Only One True God Who is One.

[Jesus said] “ See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself: handle me, and see; for a spirit hath not flesh and bones, as ye behold me having.” (Lu 24:39 ASV)

“17 But Jesus answered them, My Father worketh even until now, and I work. 18 For this cause therefore the Jews sought the more to kill him, because he not only brake the sabbath, but also called God his own Father, making himself equal with God. 19 Jesus therefore answered and said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he seeth the Father doing: for what things soever he doeth, these the Son also doeth in like manner. 20 For the Father loveth the Son, and showeth him all things that himself doeth: and greater works than these will he show him, that ye may marvel. 21 For as the Father raiseth the dead and giveth them life, even so the Son also giveth life to whom he will. 22 For neither doth the Father judge any man, but he hath given all judgment unto the Son; 23 that all may honor the Son, even as they honor the Father. “27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful.
28 Ye heard how I said to you, I go away, and I come unto you. If ye loved me, ye would have rejoiced, because I go unto the Father: for the Father is greater than I. 29 And now I have told you before it come to pass, that, when it is come to pass, ye may believe. 30 I will no more speak much with you, for the prince of the world cometh: and he hath nothing in me; 31 but that the world may know that I love the Father, and as the Father gave me commandment, even so I do. “ saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.” (Lu 22:42 ASV)

Like Jesus did not do his own will we also should try to do the will of God, so that we can come in front of Jesus who shall judge us in righteousness in the name of his heavenly Father.

“ I can of myself do nothing: as I hear, I judge: and my judgment is righteous; because I seek not mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.” (Joh 5:30 ASV)

We believe that God searches our heart and that He knows our thoughts.

“ Every way of a man is right in his own eyes; But Jehovah weigheth the hearts.” (Pr 21:2 ASV)

“ But Jehovah said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have rejected him: for Jehovah seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but Jehovah looketh on the heart.” (1Sa 16:7 ASV)

“ I, Jehovah, search the mind, I try the {1 } heart, even to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his doings. {1) Heb reins } (Jer 17:10 ASV)

We have the faith that there shall come a day that the dead shall be called from the graves to be judged by the authorised man of God, Jesus Christ.

“ For neither doth the Father judge any man, but he hath given all judgment unto the Son;” (Joh 5:22 ASV)

“ {1 } I charge thee in the sight of God, and of Christ Jesus, who shall judge the living and the dead, and by his appearing and his kingdom: {1) Or I testify, in the sight…dead, both of his appearing etc } (2Ti 4:1 ASV)

“ which is a manifest token of the righteous judgment of God; to the end that ye may be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which ye also suffer:” (2Th 1:5 ASV)

Therefore, we do hope to become accounted for by those who can walk in faith on the small road to enter the narrow or small gate to the Kingdom of God.

We sincerely believe Jesus is not God but the way to God, and he is the one we should follow to come to the Only True God Who is One, in the knowledge that there shall be that day that the son of man shall be revealed.

“ Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, and the truth, and the life: no one cometh unto the Father, but {1 } by me. {1) Or through } (Joh 14:6 ASV)

“ after the same manner shall it be in the day that the Son of man is revealed.” (Lu 17:30 ASV)

In our faith that Jesus gave himself as a ransom for our sins, which brought the grace of salvation over us all, we respect him for what he did.

“ even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many.” (Mt 20:28 ASV)

“ who gave himself a ransom for all; the testimony to be borne in its own times;” (1Ti 2:6 ASV)

We believe it was God Who raised Jesus from the dead and took him into the heavens to be seated next to Him, as a high-priest and as a mediator between God and man.

Our faith is build upon the words of God which clearly show who is who and give us the assurance for what is to come for those who believe in Christ, him being God’s son and the sent one of Him we believe to be his heavenly Father Who is the God of Abraham, Who is a Singular All-knowing God above all gods, Whose Great Name is Jehovah and should be honoured.

“ yet to us there is one God, the Father, of whom are all things, and we unto him; and one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom are all things, and we through him.” (1Co 8:6 ASV)

“ Moreover he {the Elohim Hashem Jehovah} said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face; for he was afraid to look upon God.” (Ex 3:6 ASV)

Convinced that we should follow God His commandments and have to do His will, we shall not make or have any graven image of the God and shall not worship any other gods or idols.

“ Thou shalt not make unto thee a graven image, nor any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth:” (Ex 20:4 ASV)

“ Take heed to yourselves, lest your heart be deceived, and ye turn aside, and serve other gods, and worship them;” (De 11:16 ASV)

“ And Jesus answered and said unto him, It is written, Thou shalt worship the Lord thy God, and him only shalt thou serve.” (Lu 4:8 ASV)

We believe that the Unseen God is an eternal Spirit Whom we must worship in a special way, out of our very own being and free will, with our full honest spirit and our true self, in adoration. We believe we must adhere a pure and real religion, the kind that passes muster before God the Father, which reaches out to the homeless and loveless in their plight, and guard.

“ Pure religion and undefiled before our God and Father is this, to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep oneself unspotted from the world.” (Jas 1:27 ASV)

Furthermore, we believe we should work at our character and should have our faith working in us, showing the works of faith, around us and when gathering with like-minded brethren and sisters, always ready to step in the footsteps of the Nazarene Jewish master Jeshua (Jesus) following up the task he has given to go out in the world to preach the coming Kingdom of God.

“ And without faith it is impossible to be well-pleasing unto him; for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that seek after him.” (Heb 11:6 ASV)

“ For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, even so faith apart from works is dead.” (Jas 2:26 ASV)

“ Now therefore, in the sight of all Israel, the assembly of Jehovah, and in the audience of our God, observe and seek out all the commandments of Jehovah your God; that ye may possess this good land, and leave it for an inheritance to your children after you for ever.” (1Ch 28:8 ASV)

“ not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.” (Heb 10:25 ASV)

We believe it is Jesus who should be our leader and the cornerstone of our community, which should be part of the spiritual body of Christ and as such making church, being made capable to be children of God, willing to be guided by God’s Spirit and living by the hope prepared by Jesus Christ for us, which shall bring us a renewed world and renewed un-ending life. We believe that those being judged by Christ to be allowed to enter the Kingdom, shall see him as king and then we shall be able to see that there shall be made an end to death, when Jesus shall hand over the Kingdom to his heavenly Father, the Only One God.

That are the points of our faith which are founded on the Bible, the infallible Word of God, which we take as our guide to find the treasure we are willing to look for.
