A Book to trust #27 Also words from ordinary and foolish men

The Bible brings words of God and words of men and women to us. It brings stories, like the one of the deluge and the patriarchal stories, and lets the characters of those stories tell things which may or may not in line with the Word of God or the Will of God. It is a mistake by many people that all words in the Bible are from God. We should remember that all words in Scriptures are words God wanted to be written down so that others could learn from them. In addition to the words of God, many words of prophets but also of ordinary people can be found in the Bible.

It is not because not all words in the Bible are from God that they should not be useful. Many words from the men of God, like Isaiah and Jesus are very important for us. But also from words from the satan or adversaries of God, like the Pharaoh, we can learn. All those words written down in the 66 books which represents the Bible may then be considered the Word of God, because God wanted all of them to be written down and dictated those words to the scriveners. Lots of words of ordinary human beings may seem of no use. Lots of people may bring empty discourses and we may find a lot of godless chatter which can or will lead people into more and more ungodliness, bringing them far away from God’s path or the path to life.

2 Timothy 2:15-16 (RNKJV)
15 Study to shew thyself approved unto יהוה, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. 16 But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more wickedness.

A lot of people trying us to get away from Biblical truth shall try to bring us on other ideas and shall present us human doctrines as the ones to follow instead of the Biblical because we supposedly would not be able to understand those words from the Bible. We must be aware that their words shall eat its way like gangrene.

2 Timothy 2:17 (RNKJV)
17 And their word will eat as doth a canker: of whom is Hymenaeus and Philetus;

But God’s firm foundation has stood through the times, people trying to pull down His Words or trying to mock at His Words. Though we should know that the Elohim Hashem Jehovah God does know who are His and who is willing to hear His Voice and learn from it.

2 Timothy 2:19 (RNKJV)
19 Nevertheless the foundation of יהוה standeth sure, having this seal, יהוה knoweth them that are his. And, Let every one that nameth the name of the Messiah depart from iniquity.

We can see lots of people who try to make the Word of God invalid, but all people should know in whatever language, each person should be able to find the True Word of God, a good Bible offering a possibility to come to know God and to get more knowledge making it possible to find the right path to the small gate of the Kingdom of God.

Mark 7:13 (RNKJV)
13 Making the word of יהוה of none effect through your tradition, which ye have delivered: and many such like things do ye.

We should know all those human additional notes are ‘in spe’ not necessary to come to the Truth. God His Word says it all. No matter how much people tried to get that Word in oblivion or out of the world it is still alive today and like it did before and always shall do, exerts power.

Hebrews 4:12-13 (RNKJV)
12 For the word of יהוה is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. 13 Neither is there any creature that is not manifest in his sight: but all things are naked and opened unto the eyes of him with whom we have to do.

All the words and acts from less intelligent or stupid people can also be found in the Scriptures. By human standards many of us who want to follow Christ Jesus would be considered wise. Of the real Christians there are also not many who are powerful or of noble birth. We should not worry so much about that. Even when people laugh at us we should not be angry or cross with them, but should more feel sorry for them.

We should know that God chose what is nonsense in the world to make the wise feel ashamed. It should comfort us to know that God chose what is weak in the world to make the strong feel ashamed. Though we may not close our eyes or to set up blinkers, because God chose what is insignificant in the world, what is despised, what is nothing, in order to destroy what is something, so that no one may boast in God’s presence.

1 Corinthians 1:26-31 (RNKJV)
26 For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: 27 But יהוה hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and יהוה hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; 28 And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath יהוה chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: 29 That no flesh should glory in his presence. 30 But of him are ye in the Messiah Yahushua, who of יהוה is made unto us wisdom, and righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption: 31 That, according as it is written, He that glorieth, let him glory in יהוה.

In the Holy Scriptures we find that God talks about mankind. He talks about us. In the Bible we can clearly see when God or some one else, like his prophets (Isaiah, Jesus) or other people (Ruth, Job, Solomon, Peter) speak.

We should make a difference between all those people and should know that they not all present the words of God, but more often present their own ideas, which sometimes, like by the friends of Job can go in against the ideas of God and even can bring people away from God. Also concerning Christ Jesus we should see the difference when he is speaking his own words and when he presents the Words of God.

In the Bible we should see that when God speaks it is indicated:

Genesis 1:3 (RNKJV)
3 And Elohim said, Let there be light: and there was light.

Genesis 2:16 (RNKJV)
16 And יהוה Elohim commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

More than once we can find in the Scriptures the wording that

“God spoke” or “”God said”

or that His

“Voice hovered over the earth”

Also when God commanded something we may assume that this happened by His Voice bringing words to man.

Genesis 2:16 (RNKJV)
16 And יהוה Elohim commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

Exodus 20:1 (RNKJV) Exodus 20
1 And Elohim spake all these words, saying,

About others we come to know that at certain times it was God Who put His Words into their mouth. This was with several men God asked to write down His words and by His only begotten son who was authorised to speak in God’s Name.

Jeremiah 1:1-2 (RNKJV) Jeremiah 1
1 The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin: 2 To whom the word of יהוה came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

Jeremiah 1:9 (RNKJV)
9 Then יהוה put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And יהוה said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

Jeremiah 1:11-14 (RNKJV)
11 Moreover the word of יהוה came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree. 12 Then said יהוה unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it. 13 And the word of יהוה came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north. 14 Then יהוה said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.

John 14:10 (RNKJV)
10 Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father in me? the words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.

Matthew 28:18 (RNKJV)
18 And Yahushua came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

We should recognise that in the bible many words may be from ordinary and special people and that we get the message of several prophets, special people God has chosen to bring over His Words and His Plans. Those prophets were individuals who claimed to have been contacted by The Divine Being to speak for them, serving as an intermediary with humanity, delivering this newfound knowledge from the Supernatural source to other people. As a religious leader and spokesperson they did not claim to bring their own words but said clearly that they emitted messages from the Divine Creator through inspired speech. Sometimes, like with Daniel, we can find men bringing the interpretation of omens and dreams, and the casting of lots and divination. The concept of a divine interpreter is common in religion, but in the religion of the Hebrews or Jewish people the prophet connoted inspired utterance of a spontaneous nature, while priest suggested established ritual duties. The lovers of God knew that they had to pay attention to them and had to be aware or to understand that no prophecy in Scripture is a matter of one’s particular own interpretation, because no prophecy ever originated through a human decision. Instead, men spoke from Jehovah the Elohim or Most High God as they were carried along by the Holy Spirit.

2 Peter 1:19-21 (RNKJV)
19 We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: 20 Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. 21 For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of יהוה spake as they were moved by the Holy Spirit.

All those whose words are having their words notated in the book of books next to the Words of God, make it we can form an idea of what God wants us to know.

All those sayings in the Holy Scripture turn around some keywords.

First of all there is the “Word of God” itself and then the “Plan of God” with the “Salvation” for man by “Christ Jesus” the “Messiah” or the “Anointed” who presented as a “Son of God” a “Ransom Offering” or “Ransom Price” bringing also attention to the word “Atonement“.

Lots of people look for further keywords in Scripture. And as such we may find a popular “most-searched-for terms” list:
